HAND FEED DIE
A cutting die that is hand placed on top of the material to be diecut. For example in diecutting leather@ the die has to be hand placed to avoid scar marks or defects in the leather hide.
HAND FEED DIE
HANGER HOLE PUNCHES
HANGER HOLE PUNCHES
A punch that is shaped like a hanger hole that is found on carded stock@ that is used in many merchandise displays where the skin packaged card holding the product is hung onto a protruding rod known as PACE SEAMLESS HANGOVER PUNCHES.
HARD-TOOLED COMPOUND DIES
Another term commonly used to refer to male/female blanking dies.
HARDENING
Heat treatment of steel.
HARDENING
HARDNESS
HARDNESS
(1) Referring to the range of tempering available in finished forged dies@ pre-finished flex die steel and in selected steel rules. (2) Degree of hardness. Shore and Rockwell being two scales used to measure and compare hardness.
HEAT PLATE
(1) A plate that heats up a platen in a diepress. (2) Surface for thermo-setting.
HEAT PLATE
HEAT SEAL DIE
HEAT SEAL DIE
A die made with brass rule which electronically seals together vinyl products.
HEATED PLATEN
Either the top or bottom platen (or both) can be heated to a specific temperature to aid in the cutting or trimming of many materials or in the process of hot foil stamping to activate the foil to adhere to a sheet of stock.
HEATED PLATEN
HELIARC WELDING
HELIARC WELDING
A method of welding in which two pieces of steel are combined together using a heliarc welding arc and no welding filler rod. It provides a clean weld with the absence of slag or excess weld which has to be ground away.
HELIUM-NEON LASER
Laser in which the active medium is a mixture of helium and neon@ which is in the visible range. Used widely in industry for alignment@ recording@ printing@ and measuring@ it is also valuable as a pointer@ or registration in diecutting.
HELIUM-NEON LASER
HIGH DIE
HIGH DIE
"1. Die made higher than standard cutting rule heights. 2. A forged heat treated die@ also referred to as a dinker or walker die@ normally over the height of 1-1/4"" made of 1/8"" through ?"" thick steel. The die can have many options of die blade construction to cut various types of materials."
HORIZONTAL RULE
In rotary die cutting@ rule running across the machine on the die.
HORIZONTAL RULE
HYDRAULIC BENDER
HYDRAULIC BENDER
This refers to a bending machine used to bend either clicker or high die stock or heavier thickness of steel rule stock. The bender is hydraulically operated to reduce the need for a person to exert high amounts of energy to bend heavier diestocks.
HYDRAULIC PRESS
A cutting press that uses one or more hydraulic cylinders to power the up and down movement of the cutting head.
HYDRAULIC PRESS
